http://www.dakshinamoorthytemple.in

Sukapuram Dakshinamoorthy Temple is located in Edappal Taluk in Malappuram District of Kerala. This is one of the thirty two villages established by Parasurama. Once upon a time the village was the abode of Brahmin Scholars. It is famous for its Shree Dakshinamoorthy Temple, believed to have been established by the great Hindu Rishi Suka. The temple is dedicated to Dakshinamoorthy (Sivan). The Temple Festival in January with its elephants and percussion are famous. This temple has four inscriptions of the Chera period.

Dakshinamoorthy literally means 'one who is facing south (Dakṣhiṇa)' in Sanskrit. South is the direction of death, hence change. Perhaps, of all Hindu Gods, he is the only one sitting facing south. The temple management is now taking steps to renovate and add facilities for devotees across the world. Devotees can now book pujas online at their website.

Popular pujas
     - Chathushatham
     - Udayasthamana puja

     - Kadalipazha Nivedhyam
